About 10 years ago, I was a college DJ with my own hour (and later two whole hours) of radio. For pre-Internet music sharing, this was a golden opportunity to expand my musical horizons. I do now as I did then have a broad taste for music, but it is still seldom do I find an unknown (to me) genre music that intrigues me to a near obsession. So it was 10 years ago that I discovered Jungle, more popularly known as drum and bass.

Not that I didn't like other types of electronica, jungle was the only sub-genre of electronica that didn't seem to require intoxication for enjoyment. I found a two disc drum and bass compilation at the radio station. I played a bunch of tracks off those CDs intertwined with rock, jazz, jam band, and R&B. I loved those CDs so much that I swiped them from the station. But of course karma comes around full circle and both CDs have been sacrificed to the ever growing where-did-that-go pile. My best friend thought that he had possession of them and I asked him several times. Unfortunately, they never came up. I am somewhat obsessed with finding the name to that 2 disc compilation. These days there seems to an endless supply of DnB mixes, shows, and podcasts to feed my musical fix.
